TISI has announced the cancellation of the use of the EXEMPT5 code for import declarations starting from October 1, 2024.
The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has announced the cancellation of the use of the EXEMPT5 code for import declarations starting from October 1, 2024, for the importation of industrial products that are not intended for distribution in Thailand and do not exceed the quantities specified in the TISI announcement.
To facilitate this transition, TISI allows importers to report the quantity of imports through the TISI-NSW system and use the permit number instead of the EXEMPT5 code.
Importers can check the products that are no longer using the EXEMPT5 code from the announcement regarding the determination of the quantity of industrial products imported without the purpose of distribution in Thailand, B.E. 2566 (2023).
