A History

"K" Line, officially known as Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Ltd., was established in Japan over a century ago in 1919, but its true origins can be traced back even further to Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd, which itself was founded in 1896.

Since its inception, “K” Line has become a leader in global cargo transportation with an independent, competitive, and innovative spirit. With a reputation for safety, speed, reliability, and top-notch customer care, K-Line has solidified its role as a major player in key markets around the world.

K Line (Thailand) – Transportation & Logistics Services

“K” Line was early to enter the Thai market, having set up its first representative office in the country in 1942, followed by a branch office in 1960. In 1964, Kawasaki (Bangkok) Co., Ltd. was formed, and in 1993, the company became known as K Line (Thailand) Ltd. or KTL, which remains our name to this day.

It’s now been more than half a century since K Line (Thailand)’s official establishment, and during that time, we have firmly established our position as one of the country’s most trusted partners for multimodal cargo transport and logistics services. Building on our strong foundation in ocean shipping, we continue to develop our growing list of logistics and transportation services to match the increasing sophistication of the Thai market.

Among our primary customers are leaders of business and industry, covering segments as diverse as food, textiles, automobiles, and electronics. With an upgraded and enhanced logistics infrastructure, K Line (Thailand) is ready to continue its role as an industry leader well into the future.
